Weekly Trivia Rules

Our rules are designed to keep things fun and fair.
By entering one of our trivia games, all players/teams agree to follow these rules…

TLDR: Don't be a dick and don't cheat. Just have fun.

THE LONG VERSION:

#1 - Don’t be an asshole. Everyone’s at trivia to have a good time. Just have fun.

#2 - No cell phone or smart watch use during trivia rounds. This includes texting. If your cell phone is in your hand during a trivia around, your team will be disqualified from that round (your team may no longer score points during that round).

#3 - Raising your board with the wrong answer is a form of cheating. Any cheating results in disqualification.

#4 - One answer per question. Writing more than one answer on your board disqualifies you from that round.

#5 - Do not hijack the entire event to say something or ask a question. If you would like to talk about a question/answer, please wait until the end of the round to do so. Do not stop the entire event to make scene. You will receive a penalty/point-deduction if you interrupt the event. If you repeatedly cause problems, you may be asked to leave.

#6 - If you believe one of our answers is wrong, feel free to let us know during a trivia break or email us! Everyone makes mistakes, but we promise we’re not making shit up on the fly… please also consider the possibility that you may be mistaking.

#7 - If multiple "Bingos" are called, the first “Bingo” called will get their board checked first. The trivia host will determine who called “bingo” first. It is NOT a race to bring your board to the trivia host first. Running full speed to present your board to the trivia host will not prioritize you in any way. Throwing your bingo board at a host will result in a permanent ban at all Greg’s Shitty Trivia locations, no exceptions.

#8 - The Big Brain Breakup:
If a team has won “monthly champions” 3 times in a row at any bar/venue, that team must cap their team to 5 members for the following month.
•Remaining members may form their own “new” team if they’d like.
•”Big Brain” teams can reassemble after losing 1 month.
•Any attempt to “game the system” through loopholes (including, but not limited to, changing your team name, switching venues, or creating two teams that share answers) will result in a permanent disqualification.

The staff reserves the right to adjust these rules at any time.
